Frequently Asked Questions

What is Observability-as-a-Service and how is it priced?

We host the full stack—VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, alerting, and exporter automation—and deliver dashboards, uptime reports, and SLIs you can hand to stakeholders. Most clients adopt retention tiers (30/90/365 days) and charge their own customers per node starting at $500/month. Because storage and bandwidth are the main costs, the gross margin stays healthy as you scale.

How does secure internal tool hosting work?

We deploy GitLab, Grafana, Vault, PKI consoles, or bespoke portals inside a Zero-Trust perimeter. Access is enforced through VPN or identity-aware proxies, logging is centralized, and the entire environment stays off the public internet. You receive clear SLAs, patch timelines, and incident response workflows.

What’s included in managed PKI & certificate automation?

We design the CA hierarchy, integrate with Vault or HSMs, define enrollment policies, and build automated renewal/delivery pipelines. That includes issuing certificates to Kubernetes clusters, servers, devices, or partner services, plus compliance-ready logging for audits. Commercially, engagements pair a setup fee with either a monthly retainer or per-certificate pricing.

Can you build observability for third-party vendor integrations?

Yes. We ingest vendor APIs, normalize the data, and publish metrics, dashboards, and alerts you can resell. Templates accelerate each new integration, and you choose whether to bill per integration or per end customer.

How do advisory retainers differ from project work?

Projects deliver a scoped outcome (e.g., “launch the hosted observability stack”). Retainers keep us on call for quarterly architecture reviews, alert tuning, exporter development, and roadmap coaching. Many clients blend both so the same team that built the platform continues to run it.

Do you work internationally?

We operate remotely and can support teams worldwide. When on-site work or visa coordination is required, we factor that into the timeline and budget.
